International Journal of Pavement Research and Technology - Special issues of this journal follow Double-blind peer review

All special issues of this journal follow a Double-blind reviewing procedure. This means that the author will remain anonymous to the reviewers throughout peer review. It is the responsibility of the author to anonymize the manuscript and any associated materials.

The Editor-in-Chief preliminary evaluates the manuscript and is entitled to reject the manuscript before the review process if the manuscript does not follow the Guidelines for Authors or if the contents and language do not meet the standard of International Journal of Pavement Research and Technology. The process within a few days after the received date. The Editor-in-Chief then assigns each manuscript to Guest Editors to process the manuscript.

The Guest Editors select the referees(at least two) and correspond with the authors. When a manuscript is returned for revision, it should be completed within six weeks. Author(s) can request the Guest Editors to extend the due date with prior notice. When a revised manuscript is submitted, all review comments should be carefully addressed and all changes should be clearly marked in color.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision as to whether the manuscript is accepted.

The proof is sent to the corresponding author, who shares it with all coauthors and deals with the journal on their behalf. The journal will not necessarily correct errors after publication if they result from errors that were present on proof that was not shown to coauthors before publication. The corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy of all contents in the proof, in particular, that names of authors are present and correctly spelled, and that affiliations are right.
