The Journal of Health Service Psychology is committed to bias free language in all submissions. Manuscripts should clearly frame race and ethnicity as social constructs that exist in a sociopolitical context and are not genetic or biological. Bias free language applies to a host of constructs including but not limited to the individual characteristics of age, disability, gender, racial and ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality.
