Dr Ankit Garg is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Shantou University, China. He is the former Visiting faculty at Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan and ITMO University, Russia. His research group focus on development and utilization of sustainable materials including vegetation for green infrastructure. The main focus is to examine the bio-physical processes at the interface of soil-plant-biomaterial-microbe-water-atmospheric interaction. He is also awarded “Telford Premium prize” from British Civil Engineers Association for the publication associated with the development of novel biochar for conditioning unsaturated soil hydraulic properties.

Salman Shooshtarian

Dr. Salman Shooshtarian holds a PhD in Built Environment and is currently working as a lecturer at the School of Property, Construction and Project Management, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. His research has focused on sustainability in the construction industry and circular economy in the built environment. In particular, he has pioneered the management of construction and demolition (C&D) waste resources in the Australian context. He is greatly interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of the built environment and sustainability.
