Research on Biomedical Engineering - Special Issue: 'Emerging Technologies for Fighting COVID-19

The new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) was first reported in China in 2019. The virus causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, which is now known as COVID-19. All countries throughout the world are now actively monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak, while numerous research groups are working around the clock to develop new methods to treat the disease and improve the prognosis of those infected. Research in various areas of biomedical engineering is at the forefront of this battle.

This Special Issue was carefully put together as an attempt to contribute to this global effort and to develop an interdisciplinary agenda on the topic.
