Mladen BESTVINA (University of Utah)

Mladen Bestvina’s research interests are geometric topology, theory of manifolds, hyperbolic structures on 2- and 3-manifolds, and geometric group theory. His research focuses on symmetries of groups from the point of view of geometry and topology.

Bestvina is a Distinguished Professor in the University of Utah. He received the University of Utah’s Distinguished Scholarly and Creative Research Award in 2019, and was invited to give a plenary lecture at ICM 2022.

Jian DING (Peking University)

Jian Ding’s research interests are probability theory with focus on interactions with statistical physics, theory of computer science and statistical inference: random walks, Gaussian processes, random constraint satisfaction problems, random planar geometry, spin models, random Schrodinger operators, network recovery problems, etc.

Ding is a Chair Professor in Peking University. He was awarded Rollo Davidson Prize in 2017 (shared with Nike Sun), and was invited to speak in the probability section of ICM 2022.

Zhouli XU (University of California, San Diego)

Zhouli Xu’s research interest is algebraic topology, and his research work focuses on classical, motivic and equivariant homotopy groups of spheres, with connections and applications to chromatic homotopy theory and geometric topology.

Xu received K-Theory Prize in 2022, was invited to speak in the topology section of ICM 2022, and was named Fellow of the AMS in 2023.
