Aims and scope

Journal of Proteins and Proteomics is a protein-centric journal, established to serve the community of scientists worldwide, envisioned with the aim to amalgamate two significant areas of research in life sciences – protein science and proteomics. The purpose of the journal is to provide a platform for dissemination of novel findings, to generate hypothesis for future introspection and to put together available knowledge in the literature in a comprehensive manner in areas related to “protein science and proteomics”. The objective is to accelerate innovation in the areas of health and medicine, agriculture and manufacturing by comprehensive documentation of discoveries and advancements in the area of protein science and proteomics, to facilitate the exploitation of the riches of “protein mines”. The journal will be dedicated to education for research in proteins and proteomics, since it aims to provide a reliable source of information on current developments in protein science and proteomics. This “protein-centric” research journal is to honor the timeless efforts of protein chemists and to build momentum towards protein-based solution to better health and disease intervention through investigation of human, model animals, microbial or plant proteome. The primary mission of the journal is to foster standards of health and well-being of the community through the dissemination of knowledge about proteins and proteomics.
