Plants are continuously exposed to challenging environment conditions like heavy metals, CO2, acid rain, pesticides, salinity, temperature, UV exposure, drought, light stress, air pollution etc. However, plants try to counter these abiotic stress conditions by developing various defense mechanisms. This topical collection is devoted but not restricted to understand the plant’s responses and associated mechanisms under challenging environmental conditions. Original articles, focused reviews and viewpoint are welcome for submission.
