Topical Collection: Interdisciplinary - Biophotonics

Biophotonics is a branch of Biophysics responsible for the development and application of optical techniques, particularly imaging, for the study of biological systems. Therefore, it is an interdisciplinary research area with diverse applications in biology, medicine, agriculture, and environmental science. In this Topical Collection we aim to receive contributions that include but are not limited to:

  • Optical tweezers and micromanipulation
  • Photodynamic therapy
  • Photoacoustic tomography and photothermic phenomena
  • Biosensors
  • Optical Microscopy and Spectroscopy
  • Laser Speckle Imaging
  • Optical Coherence Tomography
  • Cavitation

Guest Editors

  • Dr. Argelia Pérez Pacheco
  • Dr. Ruben Ramos García
  • Dr. Braulio Gutiérrez Medina
