Articles already published in this topical collection

Engineering Education Research (EER) is to connect and integrate the intellectual diversity of educational scholarship with professional practitioners by promoting research and dialogue to provide superior engineering education. The engineering education field contains the expertise of engineering professors, industrial engineers, as well as educators from many multidisciplinary backgrounds. EER in cooperation with the Iranian Society of Engineering Education ( seeks to connect people with scholarship, training and professional growth to promote a body of knowledge that leads to enhanced information exchange and significant improvements in the practice of learning, development, instruction and teaching of engineering.

EER’s core purpose is to foster educational innovation and excellence for the benefit of engineering students. Our goal is to advance excellence in engineering education by becoming a global provider of top-quality accessible knowledge, develop an understanding of the requirements and challenges in developing skills in engineering at all levels, and finally to facilitate and grow the engineering education worldwide. Our strategic priority is to connect people in the field of engineering education through knowledge, skills and community. As an international, multi-disciplinary, peer-refereed journal, Engineering Education Research is dedicated to providing a platform for the publication of advanced scientific and applied research in the areas of educational technologies and engineering.

EER invites research papers as well as position papers and review articles presenting innovative and original study on topical, methodological, and theoretical knowledge that will advance engineering education research, practice, and policy. It provides a platform for interested researchers to present their ideas, findings, and the latest developments in engineering education and educational technologies and their impact on our society.
