  • Cambridge Journal of Evidence-Based Policing is now fully open access!

We are excited to announce that Cambridge Journal of Evidence-Based Policing became a fully open access (OA) journal as of January 2023. This means that all articles that are accepted for publication will be published in OA format, under an OA license. It will  be freely available to readers worldwide, enabling the widest possible dissemination and reuse.

Publishing is not without costs, and as a 100% Gold Open Access publication, the journal levies a 2023 APC of £1890.00/$2780.00/€2190.00 for each article accepted for publication. Authors do not typically pay the fee themselves; multiple payment options exist. Authors whose articles are accepted are guided through a process to determine whether they're eligible for APC funding, but you may also research your eligibility before submitting or while your submission is under evaluation. Start by learning about Springer Nature's Open Choice (this opens in a new tab) program as well as our Compact Agreements (this opens in a new tab) with participating countries and institutions that cover open access costs for authors.  Our Open Access Support Portal (this opens in a new tab) is also a helpful resource.
