Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology - Topical collection "Breakthroughs in AI for ophthalmology"

For this topical collection (this opens in a new tab) in Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology we seek articles which describe novel applications and significant advances in AI for ophthalmology. Articles which describe development and validation of new algorithms or neural networks for solving specific diagnostic or prognostic challenges in ophthalmology are of particular interest. Also of interest are articles which describe and evaluate the implementation or deployment of AI algorithms in clinical settings. Highly technical articles which are focused on computer engineering concepts are not well-suited for this collection.

Paper formats which may be considered for this collection include:

•    Original research investigations
•    Clinical trials
•    Review articles
•    Letters to the editor

This collection will undergo the journal’s normal peer review process. Manuscripts should be formatted according to our submission guidelines and submitted via the online submission system (this opens in a new tab). Please note in the cover letter that the manuscript is submitted to this topical collection.
