The Korea Spatial Information Society (this opens in a new tab) (this opens in a new tab)was established by integrating The Korea Spatial Information Society (KSIS)Korea GIS Society and Korea Spatial Information System Society on March 19, 2010. However, the history of KSIS is much longer, since the first issue of the official journal of KSIS was published in September, 1993. KSIS has evolved from a small and rather loosely associated group of professionals with a common interest in spatial information. KSIS has steadily moved to the forefront of spatial research, development, and applications by accommodating members with interest in a variety of topics related to spatial information. KSIS is intended to target to those disciplines who are of interest to operational and computational issues of spatial information and those industries that are aware of current technological development in the spatial information science.
