Radiation and Environmental Biophysics - Theme Issue

Radiation and Environmental Biophysics is organizing a theme issue on "Factors influencing individual response to ionising radiation."

The reaction of people to ionising radiation is highly variable. This is true for both cancer and necrotic effects in normal tissue and for inactivation of tumour tissue. Neither the mechanisms nor the extent of the variation are well characterised although the topic is of high relevance for medicine and radiation protection. The aim of the theme issue is to summarise the current knowledge and present future research directions related to the problem of individual radiation sensitivity.

Deadline: October 2020
