Brazilian agricultureAgriculture is one of the main pillars of the Brazilian economy and the country is one of the world’s largest exporters of agricultural products. To overcome the challenges associated with tropical conditions, plant sciences in Brazil have developed in a remarkable fashion over the last century. That led SBF to launch Fitopatologia Brasileira as its official journal in 1976, aiming to publish the best plant pathology studies carried out in the region. In 2008, the title was changed to Tropical Plant Pathology aiming to reach a broader audience and to attract international contributions related to plant diseases from tropical and subtropical environments.
