This qualifies the journal to be ranked 37 out of 136 SCIE-indexed journals (Q2) in the area of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. This achievement would not have been possible without the high-quality papers by our authors and the great efforts made by our reviewers and editors. The journal will continue playing its role as a venue for publishing high-quality studies on theory, methodologies and applications in artificial intelligence, complex systems, data science, and decision-science."

Professor Yaochu Jin (BSc, MSc, PhD, Dr.-Ing.) is currently a Distinguished Chair, Professor in Computational Intelligence, Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom. He is presently also the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COGNITIVE AND DEVELOPMENTAL SYSTEMS. He was an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, and Vice President of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. 

Professor Yaochu Jin is named as a Highly Cited Researcher 2019 by the Web of Science Group. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
