The Psychological Record - *CLOSED* Call for Papers: Behavioral Psychology of Cell Phone Use

Guest Editor: Liz Kyonka

The Psychological Record is accepting submissions for an upcoming special section on the behavioral psychology of cell phone use. Cell phones and other digital technologies are integrated into many aspects of modern life. They can be antecedents, platforms for behavior, or consequences. Even though the same principles operate on behavior in virtual and physical environments, understanding functional relations that include cell phones and related technologies is increasingly important for describing, predicting, explaining and modifying human behavior.

For the special section, The Psychological Record seeks submissions about digital technology use from behavior analysis, behavioral economics and other behavioral sciences. “Digital technology use” includes, but is not limited to, text messaging, screen time, mobile gaming, and social media use.  Submissions that involve empirical research, conceptual analysis or literature reviews are welcome.

Submit manuscripts for consideration as part of the special section to https://www.editorialmanager.com/psre/Default.aspx (this opens in a new tab). Include a cover letter targeting the special section. Direct inquiries about potential submissions to Guest Editor Liz Kyonka at ekyonka@une.edu.au (this opens in a new tab)

Submission deadline: July 31, 2020
