Contemporary School Psychology - Call for Papers: Global Perspective on School-Based Mental Health

This special issue of Contemporary School Psychology seeks to address mental health interventions and policies in diverse geographical, social, cultural, and physical school contexts.  Of particular interest are studies examining: (a) mental health needs in diverse international communities, particularly from non-Western perspectives; (b) restorative and culturally relevant school-based approaches to supporting student mental health; and (c) unique approaches to improve mental care health systems and policies across borders (d) school-based mental health initiatives that integrate indigenous and community traditions and knowledges into school-based health systems.  Systematic literature reviews and research studies using qualitative or quantitative methodologies will be considered.  In keeping with the CSP’s mission, we are especially interested in scholarly articles that directly inform the practice of school psychology and related fields.

This special issue will be guest-edited by Dr. Shereen Naser (Cleveland State University, USA) and Dr. Hoang-Minh Dang (Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam).  Please contact the lead guest editor, Dr. Shereen Naser (s.naser@csuohio.edu), with any questions regarding submissions.  Also, if you are interested in serving as a manuscript reviewer for this special issue, please contact Editor-in-Chief Michael Hass (mhass@chapman.edu (this opens in a new tab)).  All manuscripts will be submitted to a blinded peer review process.  We expect the publication of the special issue to occur in the summer of 2024.
