Theoretical and Experimental Plant Physiology is an international journal devoted to publishing original research across several domains of plant physiology.

  • Covers primary and secondary metabolism and biochemistry; photobiology and the photosynthesis processes; cell biology; genes and development; plant signaling and response; crop physiology and stress physiology and plant-microbe and plant-insect interactions.
  • The journal does not publish studies that do not present a clear physiological hypothesis
  • Applied research is welcome as long as the results are accompanied by a physiological discussion of the mechanisms involved
  • The official journal of the Brazilian Society of Plant Physiology
