150 Year Anniversary
This year, the Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics celebrates its 150th anniversary of publication. The journal has changed a lot since, 1890, with the very first paper published in the German language and in a print edition. Now, the journal publishes widely in English and is available online-something it’s creators probably could not even have imagined 150 years ago.
The journal is led by Dr. Olaf Ortmann and received its first Impact Factor number in 2014. Last year, the journal received it’s highest impact factor of 2.19 last year. The journal has had 1 million views to date.
The top-most cited paper for Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics was the 2009 paper The pathophysiology of endometriosis and adenomyosis: tissue injury and repair and was cited 180 times. The most accessed paper was the 2017 article Fetal growth restriction: current knowledge.
We thank our readers, authors, and editors who help to keep this journal moving forward.
