Aims and scope

Computational & Applied Mathematics begun publishing in 1981, emerging as the primary scientific publication of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC). The journal is dedicated to the dissemination of original research in the field of Applied and Computational Mathematics, with interdisciplinary connections to Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations Research, Statistics, Social Sciences, and Economics.
 
The primary objectives of the journal are to maintain the high quality standards expected of scientific international journals and to attract contributions that exhibit exceptional levels of originality, depth, and relevance. Computational & Applied Mathematics adheres to rigorous review processes, ensuring the publication of research that meets these criteria.
 
Recognizing the importance of its contributions, the journal is currently reviewed in Mathematical Reviews and the Institute of Scientific Information (Web of Science).
