Applied Health Economics and Health Policy places an emphasis on practical research, reviews and opinion with an aim to inform real-world healthcare decisions. The journal covers all healthcare interventions, including devices, diagnostics and drugs, and health policy initiatives.

In addition, articles published in Applied Health Economics and Health Policy may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers who have some knowledge of, but not in-depth expertise in, the area to understand important medical advances.
