Welding in the world is a publication of the International Institute of Welding – IIW.
The Welding in the World Best Paper Award is given annually by the International Institute of Welding (IIW). The award is based on paper quality and impact. The primary purpose of a scientific article is to communicate effectively and efficiently with the target audience. A high quality scientific article should inform readers about progress in the field, placing the progress in the context of existing knowledge. The goal of the Award is to recognize excellence in papers published in Welding in the World and to encourage other authors to publish high level research papers in the journal.
