New Generation Computing - Call for Papers on "Multifaceted Nature of the Body and Its Prospect: From the Perspectives of Cognitive Science, Interaction Studies, Ecological Psychology, and Expression Studies"

Paper Submission Deadline
30th April 2023

Aim and Scope
The body is the foundation of our perception, action, and imagination. It exists as a hub linking them together in multiple ways. It is also strongly related to our development and growth, interactions with people and environments, and cultural activities. This special issue tries to recapture the above features of our body based on recent exploratory scientific attempts in cognitive science, interaction studies, ecological psychology, and research of expression. Through the bird’s-eye view of this research, we aim to summarize and propose the multifaceted features of the body and future perspectives on these kinds of research. The findings from this issue will also help consider embodiment and physicality in artificial intelligence and robotics. We accept manuscripts discussing the features, utilities, movements, and significant roles of the body in various domains and topics of interest.

Relevant domains include, but are not limited to:

  • Cognitive Science
  • Ecological Psychology
  • Motor Science
