  • 2022 Award Recipients

    The recipients for the Armen H. Zemanian Best Paper Award, given for the best paper published in 2022 in the areas of Circuits and Systems are Sudip Ghosh, Yuvam Bateja, Joshua Roy Palathinkal and Hafizur Rahaman for their paper “Hardware Design with Real Time Implementation for Security of Medical Images and EMPR” published in the February issue, pp. 867-891. 

        The recipients for the Sydney R. Parker Best Paper Award, given for the best paper published in 2022 in the area of Signal Processing are N. Ramesh Babu, K. Sanjay and P. Balasubraminam for their paper “Enhanced Edge Detection Algorithm via Generalized Integer and Fractional-Order Operators”, published in the October issue, pp. 5492-5534. 

        The latter paper was also chosen for the M.N.S. Swamy Best Paper Award, which is given for the best paper published in 2021 or 2022 irrespective of the subject area.

  • M.N. Swamy receives the 2022 Mac Van Valkenburg Award

    We are proud to share the news that Prof. Srikanta M.N. Swamy, Editor-in-Chief of our Journal, Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, is recipient of the 2022 Mac Van Valkenburg Award

    The Mac Van Valkenburg Award by IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, honors individuals for outstanding technical contributions and distinguishable leadership in a field within the scope of CAS Society. The award is based on the quality and significance of contribution, and continuity of technical leadership. The award citation reads: “For his pioneering and lifelong contributions, particularly in multidimensional signal processing, distributed parameter networks, graph theory, discrete transforms and image processing. For nearly six decades of outstanding contributions to education and for life long dedication to the service of the CAS society”.
