Rapid developments in the analog and digital processing of signals for communication, control, and computer systems have made the theory of electrical circuits and signal processing a burgeoning area of research and design. The aim of Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing (CSSP) is to help meet the needs of outlets for significant research papers and state-of-the-art review articles in the area.

The scope of the journal is broad, ranging from mathematical foundations to practical engineering design. It encompasses, but is not limited to, such topics as linear and nonlinear networks, distributed circuits and systems, multi-dimensional signals and systems, analog filters and signal processing, digital filters and signal processing, statistical signal processing, multimedia, computer aided design, graph theory, neural systems, communication circuits and systems, and VLSI signal processing.

The Editorial Board is international, and papers are welcome from throughout the world. The journal is devoted primarily to research papers, but survey, expository, and tutorial papers are also published.

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing (CSSP) is published twelve times annually

  • Call for Nominations - CSSP Awards 2021

As announced in the 2013 Oct/Nov. issue of CSSP, the publishers of CSSP have instituted 3 Best Paper Awards: one for the best paper in the area of Circuits and Systems in a given year (Armen H. Zemanian Best Paper Award), one for the best paper in the area of Signal Processing in a given year (Sydney R. Parker Best Paper Award), and one for the best paper in the previous 2 years irrespective of the area (M.N.S. Swamy Best Paper Award)

As the Editor-in-Chief of Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, I am now calling for nominations ...

  • M.N. Swamy receives the 2022 Mac Van Valkenburg Award

We are proud to share the news that Prof. Srikanta M.N. Swamy, Editor-in-Chief of our Journal, Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, is recipient of the 2022 Mac Van Valkenburg Award

The Mac Van Valkenburg Award by IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, honors individuals for outstanding technical contributions and distinguishable leadership in a field within the scope of CAS Society. The award is based on the quality and significance of contribution, and continuity of technical leadership. The award citation reads: “For his pioneering and lifelong contributions, particularly in multidimensional signal processing, distributed parameter networks, graph theory, discrete transforms and image processing. For nearly six decades of outstanding contributions to education and for life long dedication to the service of the CAS society”.
