CALL FOR PAPERS:
Coral Reefs Special Issue: Coral Reef Biodiversity and History: Insights from molecular phylogenetics, biogeography and population genetics. Submit your paper before 15 March 2021. See Journal Updates for more information.
The journal, Coral Reefs, the Journal of the International Coral Reef Society, is committed to publishing diverse and multidisciplinary papers across broad fields of coral reef science. It publishes analytical and theoretical papers focused on understanding and managing coral reef systems and organisms.
Some of the subject areas covered by the journal include: reef structure and morphology; sedimentology; diagenesis; biogeochemical cycles; calcification; functional ecology of reef organisms; energy and nutrient flows; animal behaviour; organismal and system responses to global environmental changes; evolution and phylogenetics of reef organisms; reef management; and more.
The journal accepts full length papers (Reports), synthetic or systematic literature reviews (Reviews), and short papers (Notes).
Why publish with us
- We are the official publication of the International Coral Reef Society, and we are a focal point for multidisciplinary literature across the broad fields of reef studies.
- We publish analytical and theoretical papers focused on understanding and managing coral reef systems and organisms, and encourage the search for theories about reef structure and dynamics, and the use of experimentation, modelling, quantification and the applied sciences.
- The journal welcomes full length papers, short papers, and review articles.
