The articles will prove relevant beyond the narrow topic of interest to a readership with broad scientific background. The coverage includes such topics as

- genomics and genetics
- metabolism
- cell biology
- abiotic and biotic stress
- phytopathology
- gene transfer and expression
- molecular pharming
- systems biology
