Irrigation Science - Call for Journal Submissions: Special Issue on Advances in Precision Irrigation Management

The special issue aims to explore cutting-edge research and innovations in precision irrigation management, with a focus on enhancing water use efficiency and environmental sustainability. We invite contributions that delve into novel approaches for precision irrigation scheduling, leveraging artificial intelligence for water stress management and irrigation application support, optimizing irrigation efficiency through machine learning tools, and the development of evidence-based tools for monitoring water stress, water use, and soil water status. Additionally, we welcome research that investigates the environmental benefits of precision irrigation, contributing to the advancement of sustainable agricultural practices. Through this special issue, we seek to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers to share their latest findings, methodologies, and insights in the realm of precision irrigation management.

Topics covered in the special issue include:
Novel approaches for precision irrigation scheduling
Use of artificial intelligence for water stress management and irrigation application support
Optimizing irrigation efficiency using machine learning tools
Evidence-based tools for monitoring water stress, water use and soil water status
Research investigating the environmental benefits of precision irrigation

Original research articles and novel reviews and perspectives are welcomed on this special issue:
