Irrigation Science - Call for Journal Submissions: Special Issue on Irrigation, Salinity, and Nutrient Management

Irrigation Science invites researchers and scholars to contribute to a special issue on "Irrigation, Salinity, and Nutrient Management." Guest editors, Ray G. Anderson, Michael Schmidt, and Davie Kadyampakeni, invite submissions that explore innovative approaches, novel findings, and practical solutions to challenges facing irrigated agroecosystems. This special issue aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of salinity water and nutrient management within irrigated systems, addressing critical issues that impact agricultural production globally.

Scope of the Special Issue: We welcome submissions from all irrigated agroecosystems, encompassing a broad range of topics including, but not limited to, water use efficiency, soil salinity and sodicity control, nutrient management, and sustainable agricultural management practices. Recent advances in soil and water management practices, environmental monitoring, modeling, and sensing within these areas are particularly interesting.  Submissions should highlight innovative, multidisciplinary technologies and methodologies, focusing on practical implications for sustaining and improving crop productivity in irrigated agroecosystems.  Original research articles and novel reviews and perspectives are welcomed.

Submission Guidelines: Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts by the deadline of October 31, 2024, adhering to the journal's author guidelines available on the Irrigation Science website (https://link.springer.com/journal/271). All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the journal's submission system, indicating that they are intended for the special issue on "Irrigation, Salinity, and Nutrient Management."

Key Dates:
•    Submission Deadline: October 31, 2024
•    Expected Publication: Early 2025
This special issue offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advancing knowledge in irrigation science and its intersection with salinity, water, and nutrient management. We look forward to receiving high-quality submissions that will make a significant impact on the sustainable future of irrigated agriculture. For inquiries, please contact the guest editors or visit the Irrigation Science journal website for further details.
