Surgical Care in Ukraine

World Journal of Surgery welcomes articles, including commentaries, that address surgical care during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. WJS would especially be interested in articles on two categories of topics:

A. Adaptations that have been implemented to adjust to the difficult situations of degraded medical facilities, in the face of increased need in Ukraine itself. These could address care of war casualties, as well as adaptations undertaken to continue to provide care for surgical emergencies or other surgical care and intensive care.

B. Caring for surgical needs, including chronic surgical conditions, of the large number of displaced people, including refugees to neighboring European countries.

Articles regarding surgical care in other similar humanitarian catastrophes are also welcomed.
