We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Neeraj Lalwani as the incoming Editor-in-Chief of Abdominal Radiology. Dr. Lalwani will start his term as Editor-in-Chief in January 2024.

Bio of Dr. Neeraj Lalwani, MD (He/Him):
Professor of Radiology, VCU Health System, Richmond, VA

Dr. Neeraj Lalwani currently holds the position of Professor of Abdominal Imaging at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. He is also a distinguished Fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR). Dr. Lalwani, an American Board-Certified diagnostic radiologist, specializes in body and gastrointestinal imaging, with particular expertise in pelvic and hepatopancreatic imaging.

His significant contributions to the field of abdominal radiology have earned him prestigious accolades, including the American Roentgen Ray Society's Figley Fellowship award in 2019 and the RSNA Honored Educator award in 2020.

Dr. Lalwani has a substantial publication record in highly influential journals. To date, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, presented abstracts, and exhibited educational materials at national and international conferences. His exceptional presentations have garnered numerous awards, highlighting his dedication to advancing the field. Additionally, Dr. Lalwani authored the book, "Magnetic Resonance Imaging of The Pelvis: A Practical Approach," published in 2023.

In addition to his research achievements, Dr. Lalwani has received multiple editorial awards and held various roles in numerous journals and professional societies. He has also served as a guest editor for prominent journals, focusing on areas such as female pelvic imaging (Radiologic Clinics), colorectal cancers (Seminar in Roentgenology), and benign biliary pathologies (Abdominal Radiology).
