This Volume is dedicated to the memory of Olga Aleksandrovna Ladyzhenskaya whose 100th anniversary was celebrated in March 2022. We choose the title of the English translation of her famous and influential book as the title of this Volume. Over the years hundreds of mathematicians have been learning mathematical hydrodynamics with Ladyzhenskaya’s book as a source of inspiration and guidance. We hope that papers submitted to the Volume will reflect a wide range of new developments in the area and, in particular, will show how close we are to (or far from) the solution of the Millennium Problem regarding the Navier-Stokes equations.
