Overview
Journal of Mathematical Fluid Mechanics (JMFM) is a forum for the publication of high-quality peer-reviewed papers on the mathematical theory of fluid mechanics, with special regards to the Navier-Stokes equations.
- Encourages papers dealing with mathematical aspects of computational theory, as well as with applications in science and engineering.
- Also publishes in related areas of mathematics that have a direct bearing on the mathematical theory of fluid mechanics.
- All papers must be characterized by originality and mathematical rigor.
- For a paper to be accepted, it is not enough that it contains original results. In fact, results should be highly relevant to the mathematical theory of fluid mechanics and meet a wide readership.

Birkhäuser Distinguished Lectures in Mathematical Fluid Mechanics
The Journal of Mathematical Fluid Mechanics (JMFM) is proud to showcase the 2023 Birkhäuser Distinguished Lecture sponsored and organized by Birkhäuser on behalf of the Editorial Board of JMFM.
Lecturer: Professor Thomas Yizhao Hou
Title: Potentially singular behavior of 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations
Date: 1st December, 2023
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 AM (Pasadena, California, USA) / 11:00 -12:00 (New York) /16:00-17:00 (London)
The lecture was hosted via Zoom by Dr Pin Wu (publishing editor) and Professor Giovanni P. Galdi (editor-in-chief) and was free to attend. It included a presentation and a brief Q+A session.
The recording of the lecture is available on the Birkhäuser Distinguished Lectures channel, where you may also find past lectures.
