The Annals of Regional Science - Call for Papers - Special Issue in honor of Charles M. Tiebout

To mark the centenary of his birth, the Annals of Regional Science is calling for papers for a special issue in honor of Charles M. Tiebout. Born in 1924, Tiebout was already acknowledged as an eminent leading scholar during his own lifetime. Yet, his scholarly impact and renown has continued to grow steadily following his all-too-early passing in 1968. Tiebout’s work permeates the foundations of contemporary scholarship in local public finance, urban demographics, political science, urban geography, regional development, input-output analysis and related fields of inquiry. The emphasis of this special issue is not about Charles Tiebout per se, but rather on exemplary research that best exemplifies the continuing relevance of his work for contemporary scholarship.
