The Continuum Mechanics and Thermodynamics team extends a warm welcome to new editorial board member, Anil Misra.

Dr. Anil Misra is a Professor in the Civil, Environmental and Architectural Enginering Department of the University of Kansas (KU), Lawrence. His research has focused upon the analytical, computational and experimental micro-mechanics of granular materials.  In particular, he has pioneered the method of granular micromechanics with which he seeks to develop generalized (micromorphic) continuum model of a range of granular materials and materials with granular texture, including geomaterials, biomaterials, cement/asphalt concrete, polymers, and architectured/metamaterials.  He is deeply interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mechanics and material science.
