NetMAHIB publishes original research articles and reviews reporting how graph theory, statistics, linear algebra and machine learning techniques can be effectively used for modelling and analysis in health informatics and bioinformatics. It aims at creating a synergy between these disciplines by providing a forum for disseminating the latest developments and research findings; hence, results can be shared with readers across institutions, governments, researchers, students, and the industry. The journal emphasizes fundamental contributions on new methodologies, discoveries and techniques that have general applicability and which form the basis for network based modelling, knowledge discovery, knowledge sharing and decision support to the benefit of patients, healthcare professionals and society in traditional and advanced emerging settings, including eHealth and mHealth .

  • Call for Papers: Special Issue on Enabling Technologies for E-Health and Bioinformatics

    In recent years, E-Health and Bioinformatics has matured into a distinct and coherent set of ideas and concepts, and has attained a position of central importance in much of medical research. We can collect, measure, and analyse vast volumes of health-related data using various technologies of computing and networking, leading to tremendous opportunities for the health and biomedical community. However, significant challenges can be foreseen in this rapidly evolving interdisciplinary field, such as the reliability and latency issues of high-speed data communication and network technology in healthcare; the acceptance of healthcare robotics applications in clinical practice; the feasibility of the application of artificial intelligence in health data analysis, disease diagnoses and treatments. This special issue aims to highlight recent challenges and issues in E-Health and Bioinformatics, and provide a forum for experts to disseminate their latest research and views on future perspectives in the field.
