In 2021, the journal “Beiträge zur Algebra und Geometrie / Contributions to Algebra and Geometry“ celebrates its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, the three Managing Editors have invited and carefully selected excellent articles, written by members of the Editorial Board, and presenting the broad mathematical spectrum covered by the journal. These articles have been published in two Special Issues (Vol. 62/1 and 62/2) this year.
