Aims and scope

The European Journal of DrugMetabolism and Pharmacokinetics covers all aspects of pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamics, including drug disposition, metabolism, transport and interactions, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationship, bioavailability and biopharmacy.The journal welcomes publications in the field of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling. Analytical methods validation linked with a pharmacokinetic study will also be considered.

The journal publishes original research articles, short communications, review articles, leading articles, current opinion articles on special topics, and conference proceedings. Letters to the Editor are welcomed and will be considered for publication.

All manuscripts are subject to peer review by international experts.

Additional digital features (including animated abstracts, video abstracts, slide decks, audio slides, instructional videos, infographics, podcasts and animations) can be published with articles; these are designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content. In addition, articles published in the European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers who have some knowledge of, but not in-depth expertise in, the area to understand important medical advances.

The European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics publishes six issues a year.
