Ambio - Short Communications: Ambio’s new article category

Apart from original research articles, perspectives, reviews, and comments, Ambio now also invites authors to submit short communications:

A Short Communication provides a brief, high-quality study on a topical matter that matches Ambio's scope. For a submission to qualify as a Short Communication it needs to clearly demonstrate the timeliness and urgency of the matter that you want to present. Preferably, the topic should also have been covered in the public media recently. A Short Communication is expected to have no more than 3000 words in total (including Materials and Methods, a 150-word abstract, maximum of 20 references, and up to 4 figures/tables). A Short Communication can be accompanied by supplementary information. Short Communications will have to be published fast, and therefore will be prioritised in the handling of submissions to Ambio. The peer review is handled by Associate Editors and members of the Advisory Board.
