Sankhya A - Announcing forthcoming Special Issue on ‘D. Basu Centennial Volume: Contributions to Mathematical Statistics and Probability’

Professor D. Basu made profound contributions to understanding statistical principles through his works on the foundations of statistics and Bayesian inference. On the occasion of Professor D. Basu's upcoming birth centenary in the year 2024, Sankhya, The Indian Journal of Statistics, is planning to publish a special volume in his honor. The volume will contain about 15 invited short articles within 15 pages. These papers will discuss profound questions on important statistical issues in the spirit of Basu's research interests. The volume is expected to be published by the end of this year. It will be a landmark collection of research and review articles inspired by Basu's legacy of critical thinking.
