Innovation Management in Asia (Topical Collection)
This collection concentrates on the dynamism of innovation and its utility in diverse capacities across the many regions of Asia, highlighting the various dimensions of the creative potential of individuals, organizations, and institutions in the context of sustainable development. This topical collection provides the space for studies that address the intersection of research and practice through the presentation of theoretical analyses, empirical studies, practice-oriented, and teaching-oriented papers, case studies, book reviews, and editorials and commentaries. Both contemporary and historical accounts will be considered of particular interest, with an emphasis on considering the implications for government, industry, social organizations, higher education institutions and research centers, civil society, and the environment.

Macro Perspective on Sustainable, Smart and Inclusive Growth within Entrepreneurial and Innovation Knowledge-Driven Ecosystems
This is part of a joint special issue involving three journals – Journal of Knowledge Economy, Journal of Technology Transfer and Journal of Knowledge Management — that aims to weave macro, meso and micro-level respectively approaches, perspectives and grounded theories on the phenomenon, nature and dynamics of growth under current socio-economic, socio-political and socio-technical conditions, challenges and opportunities for economies and societies in the contemporary knowledge-driven economy. In addition, the aim is to examine whether, when, how and why human knowledge, creativity and inventiveness, as well as entrepreneurial and innovative endeavours in an ecosystemic context, can make a substantive difference.

Digital Economy and Transformation in the Business Environment

Dialogues and Synergy Building between Triple, Quadruple and Quintuple Helix Models: Theoretical, Methodological and Empirical Perspectives (Special Issue) 
While the Triple, Quadruple and Quintuple Helix models of innovation are popular among researchers and policymakers, there are also debates on the models, as illustrated in a recent special issue of Triple Helix. These innovation models all intend to address often overlapping social and economic issues but focus on different perspectives and dimensions in association with innovation. This special issue calls for papers promoting dialogues and synergy building between the helix modes for advancing helical approaches to innovation from theoretical, methodological, and empirical perspectives.

Foundational Approaches, Methods and Cases in Legal Informatics (Special Issue)

Digital Transformation and Disruption (Topical Collection)

Smart Growth - North vs South and East vs West (Topical Collection)
The term “Smart Growth” refers to a combination of social ecology, innovation, sustainable development and economic growth, which is needed to achieve an economic sustainable path in the medium and the long-term. Focusing mainly on those four concepts, smart growth is a way to explore the interactions among five key elements of society: academia, industry, government, culture, and the environment, with particular respect to harnessing knowledge to promote social, political, and economic development.  Papers in this collection will survey the emerging challenges and opportunities that attend smart growth, taking into account Europe as a special case, although papers focusing on other regions around the world are welcomed as well.

Intelligent Technical Systems (Special Issue)
This special issue focuses on technology concepts that bridge the gap between traditional machinery and modern information and communications technology, with particular respect to how internal processes and corporate structures are being transformed in a radical way and at a fast pace.  Part 1 focuses on methods and tools for future-oriented corporate planning, innovative applications and dialogue between science and industry.  Part 2 focuses on enhancements to the quality and efficiency of product development through applications of artificial intelligence.
