Discover Oncology is part of the Discover journal series committed to providing a streamlined submission process, rapid review and publication, and a high level of author service at every stage.

Discover Oncology is a fully open access general oncology journal that aims to provide a unified forum for researchers and clinicians. The journal spans from basic and translational science, through to preclinical, clinical, and epidemiology, and welcomes content that interfaces at all levels of cancer research.

Topics

Discover Oncology covers topics including, but not limited to, cancer causation and the underlying biology of disease, the molecular interactions between genes, hormones, the immune system and the metabolism, screening and prevention, diagnosis and treatment, prognostication, novel therapeutic agents and clinical trials. All cancer types, including benign tumors, will be considered for publication.

Content Types

Discover Oncology welcomes Research, Reviews, Perspectives, Comments, Brief Communications, Case Reports, Case Studies, Clinical Trials, Registered Reports, and Data Notes from across the full range of disciplines concerned with cancer research. The journal also publishes guest edited Topical Collections of relevance to all aspects of cancer research to allow readers to quickly identify research on subject areas of especial interest to them. For more information, please follow up with our journal publishing contact.

In addition to specific themed Collections reflecting the latest developments in cancer research, the journal focuses on three types of contributions: forward looking and/or speculative pieces that may be opinionated but should remain balanced and are intended to stimulate discussion and explore new approaches, rapid publication of early research results, and case studies/examples of novel research.
