International Journal of Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics - Upcoming Special Issue: Earthquake Hazard Analysis

Special Issue on  Earthquake Hazard Analysis

Indian landmass is prone to strong earthquake ground shaking. Several damaging earthquakes have occurred in the past in the plate boundary of the Himalaya and Andaman region as well as in the intraplate region of peninsular India. Due to this, efforts have been taken place in earthquake hazard assessment. Seismic hazard analysis has progressed increasingly in the last four decades. The availability of seismicity and ground motion data has made a lot of advancement in hazard analysis. Apart from empirical methods, physics based approaches have also become popular in carrying out seismic hazard analysis. The special issue will focus on Seismicity, ground motion, sedimentary basins, Site effects and hazard assessment.
