School Mental Health - Researcher Reflexive Self-Description
Consistent with the APA Style Journal Article Reporting Standards (this opens in a new tab), we value the inclusion of researcher self-descriptions. If the researcher’s backgrounds are potentially relevant to data collection, analysis, and other aspects of understanding of the phenomenon under study, we encourage authors to include brief statements in the methods section that describe the researchers’ demographic/cultural characteristics, credentials, experience with phenomena, training, values, and/or other features of the researchers’ backgrounds that may influence the research.
