Publication Ethics Statement
Conflicts of Interests, Ethical Conflicts and Suspicion of Plagiarism:
To avoid conflicts of interests, only those researchers act as reviewers who have no relation with the author(s) of the manuscripts. We thereby follow the rules for reviews (“good practice” guidelines) provided by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The members of the editorial board of Comparative Governance and Politics are not allowed to submit a paper for review as single authors; the respective papers must be written with a co-author. Papers not co-authored by an editor are preferred for publication.
Ethical conflicts are handled according to the rules provided by the German Political Science Association (DVPW). Complaints can be directed to the DVPW Committee on Democracy Research, which is also responsible for the journal Comparative Governance and Politics. The same procedure applies to suspicion of plagiarism and authors’ rights.
