Call for Papers: Winter Sports Topical Collection
Invitation to submit a manuscript to the Topical Collection on Winter Sports
In all winter sports, equipment is essential for athlete performance and safety. Sports Engineering research can therefore have a direct impact on the performance and safety of winter sports athletes. Prior to the Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 winter games, Sports Engineering published two special issues on winter sports. This winter sports Topical Collection will be published prior to Bejing 2022. Researchers involved in winter sports research are invited to submit manuscripts describing original research, review papers or technical notes. Authors are encouraged to follow the author guidelines on the journals website.
All papers must fit the Aims and Scope of Sports Engineering which can be found on the journal’s website. Papers on any topics which fit the theme of the Topical Collection will be considered.
Topics might include:
• Development of new technologies, software or measurement devices in winter sports
• Equipment-player interactions during winter sports
• Equipment safety
• Computer aided design and analysis of winter sports equipment
• Computer vision or machine learning in winter sports.
