Indian Journal of Microbiology - Special Issue 2024: Microbes in Bioprocessing

Microbes in Bioprocessing, special issue is focused on different aspects in microbiology and related subjects for individuals in the industry, researchers, academics, and students. Microbes are key components of the bioprocessing industry, and this issue concentrates on topics that incorporate ideas and applications from various fields to address concerns relating to microbiology and allied fields. Researchers around the globe will be able to use this information as a guide in establishing the direction of future research on bioprocessing considering various aspects related to microbes.

  • fermentation for growth of microbes, high cell density fermentation
  • Perfusion culture for pathogens
  • Culture of higher fungi, mushrooms, algae and viruses in fermenter
  • Bio processing of Microbial Products
  • how microbial fermentation contributed to industrial production of rare metabolites for example plant metabolite production in microbes

The main objective of this issue is to disseminate knowledge about the recent technologies developed in the field of microbiology and allied fields and their relation to the Bioprocessing. Written in an easy-to-understand style, the articles gathered here will be of interest to people in the industry and academia with a great deal of experience and knowledge but also for students and newly hired professionals in the field of microbiology.

The special Issue focus on SDG 2, 3, 6, 7, 12,13,14, 15 and 17
