Theoretical Ecology - Integro-Difference Equation Models in Ecology

Call for papers!

Many ecological processes are best described as discrete in time, but continuous in space. Examples include species which reproduce and disperse propagules once per year, species with yearly movement, and a range of other processes. These processes are best modelled using a formulation that reflects these ecological features, namely integro-difference equations. With the growing interest in these approaches, Theoretical Ecology will be publishing a special feature highlighting recent advances and future directions.
