Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is the major healthcare issue of 2020. It is caused by a novel beta-coronavirus, known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). This new respiratory illness is characterized by rapid human-to-human transmission, which resulted in its quick global spread. Since its outbreak at the end of 2019 and until the 15th of November 2020, COVID-19 has affected more than 53.5 million of individuals and is responsible for 1,305,164 deaths globally.
