Guest-Editors:
Dr. Swadesh Kumar Singh, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, India
Dr. Nitin Kotkunde, BITS Pilani, India

Submission Status: Closed

Summary and scope
New computational techniques are used to understand advanced manufacturing processes including development of meta materials, forming, unconventional machining, composites and nano materials. Papers related to simulation using existing material models present in the library of code or developed material model specific to material and temperature, are welcome for this special issue.

This Special Issue will specifically give priority to such articles on image processing techniques to study the fractography of different materials and prediction of onset of necking in the material.

The following topics are of special interest:

  • Unconventional machining
  • Development of meta materials
  • Development of nano and composites
  • Material models
  • User defined material models
  • Computational aspect in forming
  • Computational aspects in 3D printing

Submission guidelines
All papers must be prepared in accordance with the Instructions for Authors (this opens in a new tab). Authors should submit through the online submission site (this opens in a new tab) and select article type “SI - Computational Modelling and Numerical Aspects of Advanced Manufacturing".

Submitted papers should present original, unpublished work, relevant to one of the topics of the Special Issue. All submitted papers will be evaluated on the basis of relevance, significance of contribution, technical quality, scholarship, and quality of presentation, by at least two independent reviewers. It is the policy of the journal that no submission, or substantially overlapping submission, be published or be under review at another journal or conference at any time during the review process. Final decisions on all papers are made by the Editor-in-Chief.
